Dr. Kyan Lynch earned his medical degree and MA in Medical Humanities, Compassionate Care, and Bioethics at Stony Brook University. He is currently enrolled in the George Washington University LGBT Health Practice and Policy Graduate Certificate Program.
Ky’s current role at the University of Rochester enables him to travel the country, providing expertise, capacity building support, and technical assistance to Departments of Health on issues related to HIV prevention, LGBTQIA+ health care, and providing affirming care. Ky's previous work at the University of Rochester involved participation in the PrEP Academic Detailing Initiative, which was completed in collaboration with the New York State AIDS Institute. In this role, Ky educated primary care providers throughout New York State on Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis for HIV.
Ky currently serves on the State University of New York Transcending Gender Binary Violence Prevention and Response Impact Team, and recently served on the planning committee for the inaugural SPECTRUM Conference. Ky is also an active member of the University of Rochester Medical Center Transgender Health Advisory Board.
